Andreas Renner joined GEXSi in 2005 and since then has held several executive positions. He has been founder and partner of GEXSi LLP since 2006, and took over the GEXSi Charityıs executive management role in January, 2009. Andreas developed GEXSiıs Bottom-of-the-Pyramid Fund; he has performed extensive due diligence work on social ventures in Africa, Latin America, and Asia, and advises international foundations, UN organisations and investors on social impact investments in sectors such rainforest businesses, fair trade, alternative biofuels, or water and energy. He is member of the board of several companies, including JSL Biofuels Madagascar and Ercolith International GmbH, a German-Swiss technology company specialised in low-cost housing systems for emerging markets. Andreas Renner holds a PhD in international economics, with additional qualifications in Geography and Cultural Sciences. He has published various articles and books on market-based approaches to sustainable development. Before joining GEXSi, he worked at a consultancy firm specialised in participatory stakeholder communications and Corporate Social Responsibility, where he was responsible for developing international business strategy.


David Diallo became a GEXSi partner in 2009. A dynamic and successful entrepreneur, David is founder of several successful German internet companies including myPhotobook and ePubli. With a long-term commitment to social investment, David established the Noah Foundation for sustainable development in Madagascar in 2008. While focusing on the key areas of education and healthcare, the foundation is also involved in incubating social business projects on the island. As a founding partner of the Genisis Institute for Social Business, David is also active in furthering the field of social business research. David Diallo studied at the European business school ESCP where he obtained master degrees in Germany, the UK and France.


Marc von Krosigk has eight years of investment banking and private equity experience. He worked with Deutsche Bank for five years structuring and executing debt and mezzanine investments for industrial companies and financial investors. More recently he worked for Equita Management, a leading German mid-cap private equity firm closely associated with the Harald Quandt family office, where he was responsible for the selection, execution and monitoring of investments. He joined the GEXSi team in January 2010. Marc von Krosigk studied law at the universities of Bonn, Lausanne and Göttingen. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree of the University of San Diego and is a CFA Charterholder.
