Andreas Renner is a founder and managing partner of GEXSI LLP. Andreas Renner has built up GEXSI's Development Investment Unit. Having brokered
pilot investment deals in social enterprises in Ecuador, Bolivia and Madagas-
car, he now manages a deal flow pipeline comprising about 20 projects in three continents. Andreas Renner leads the GEXSI biofuel team and has consulted several international clients in setting-up jatropha schemes. He also holds a
non-executive director position in a company which develops earth-quake re-
sistant construction materials suitable for low-income regions worldwide.
Before he joined GEXSI, Andreas Renner was Senior Consultant at an interna-
tional consultancy specializing in international corporate social responsibility
and environmental mediation. Andreas Renner holds a PhD in economics and
has published various articles and books on market-based approaches to sustainable development.


David Diallo became a GEXSI partner in 2009 and is supporting the organisation in developing new partnerships and moving into new fields. A dynamic and successful entrepreneur, David is founder of a number of highly-regarded German internet companies, including myPhotobook and ePubli. With a long-term commitment to social investment, David established the Noah Foundation for sustainable development in Madagascar in 2008. Whilst focusing on the key areas of education and healthcare, the foundation is also involved in incubating social business projects on the island. As a founding partner of the Genisis Institute for Social Business, David is also active in furthering the field of social businesss research.
